Reading the Inbox
Every approval, question, review and mention lands in one queue. How to read a card and clear it.

The Inbox is the queue of things waiting on you. The badge on the navigation counts delegations in the Waiting on you state. Answering a card from the Inbox, from Home or from the delegation page uses the same component and has the same effect.
Kinds of item
| Kind | What it means | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Approval | The agent wants to take an action its policy marks as needing a person. | Approve, request changes or reject. |
| Question | The agent needs a fact or a choice it cannot settle from the brief. | Reply in the thread. |
| Review | A run has finished and its deliverables are waiting. | Accept, request changes or re-delegate. |
| Budget | The run has reached 80 percent of its cap, or the cap itself. | Raise the cap or accept what is there. |
| Mention | A teammate named you in a thread. | Read and reply. |
Anatomy of an approval card
- The exact action: the tool and the target, such as a reply to ticket 48213.
- A preview of the payload: the message body, the entry, the record as it will be written.
- The cost of the step, and the delegation's spend so far against its cap.
- Who else can decide, and when the request expires.
- The rule that raised it, so you know whether it came from the floor, a delegation toggle or the agent's policy.
The card records a hash of the preview you saw. Later, the activity log can show exactly what the approver was looking at when the action was approved.
Answering
- Approve
- The action runs as previewed. The run continues.
- Request changes
- Your note goes back to the agent and the run continues from the same point.
- Reject
- The action is not taken. The agent is told why and continues without it.
- Reply
- For questions and mentions. Your answer is added to the thread.
Keyboard
j and k move through the list, a approves, e archives, and the question mark opens the shortcuts sheet. A shortcut only acts on the card that is open, so nothing is approved by accident while you scroll.
When nobody answers
A request expires after seven days by default. Before that, a checkpoint left past its deadline escalates to the next approver, then the delegation pauses. Silence never means yes. A card already answered by a teammate says so and shows who answered.
Nothing needs you.
Preview: the Inbox in the current build shows demo cards. Email and Slack links that open a card directly arrive with the workspace app.
