Your first delegation

From an empty workspace to a reviewed deliverable, one step at a time.

A delegation goes through six states: Draft, Delegated, Running, Waiting on you, In review and Done. This page follows one delegation through all of them. It takes a few minutes of your time and a handful of credits.

Before you start

  • A workspace. Onboarding creates one and ends on a first delegation from a template.
  • An agent on the roster. Starter includes two from the eight templates.
  • Credits. Starter includes 50 a month; one credit is roughly one step of work.

1. Write the brief

Press New delegation. The composer opens with a large text area, suggestion chips and a place for attachments and links. Describe the outcome, not the steps. Say what done looks like and where the agent should stop.

Research 25 companies matching the attached profile. Rank them by fit and draft a two-line intro for each. Ask me before anything is sent.

2. Choose who does it

The composer suggests an agent from the brief. Each card shows the role, current load and the tools it can reach. For the brief above, the Research analyst fits.

3. Set the guardrails

Pick a due date, a budget cap in credits and the deliverable format. Two toggles cover most cases: ask me before anything leaves the workspace, and ask me before spending over a set amount. The composer shows an estimate before you commit.

4. Delegate and watch

Press Delegate. The delegation moves from Draft to Delegated, then to Running as soon as the agent starts. Open the Progress tab to watch each step arrive: messages, tool calls, artifacts and checkpoints, each with its cost.

5. Answer checkpoints

When the agent needs you, the delegation turns to Waiting on you and a card appears in the Inbox. The card shows the exact action, a preview, the cost and who else can decide. Approve, request changes or reject. The run continues with your answer.

6. Review the deliverable

When the agent finishes, the delegation moves to In review and the results appear on the Deliverables tab. Accept to close it as Done, request changes to reopen the run with your note, or re-delegate to start a fresh draft from the same brief.

Every new agent's first run is draft-only, whatever its policy says. Write scopes unlock after you have reviewed one complete delegation. Preview: in the current build these steps run on demo data, so nothing is sent and no credits are spent.
